Camping it Soal is a very attractive 4 star camping located directly on the crystal clear water of IJsselmeer (pronounced 'aisselmhere'). The camping was recently awarded one of the best 32 campings of Europe. The site is a great favourite of sailors and sailboarders alike who can indulge in their favourite sport in the safe (shallow) waters of IJsselmeer.

The marina carrying the same name and located next to the camping, offers berthing to approximately 550 yachts. Because of the site's unique location, IJsselmeer is directly sailable, without having to manoeuvre through water locks. From the marina you can also reach the well renowned Friesian lakes.

In close proximity to the park nestles the historic trading centre of Workum, one of the localities that form the '11-cities' ice skating marathon. Workum is a picturesque village that not only provides abundant shopping opportunities, but also offers historic architecture. De surrounding areas are ideal for hiking, cycling, roller blading and fishing.
